DosePlot does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or recommend specific protocols for any individual. The AI assistant is specifically designed to not cross this line - it explains how things work and helps you plan, but will not tell you what to take.

Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before starting, changing, or stopping any compound or protocol. Use this tool to organize your planning and prepare informed questions for your provider, not to replace professional medical guidance.

Does DosePlot work for GLP-1s like semaglutide, tirzepatide, or retatrutide?

Yes, GLP-1 protocols are one of the things DosePlot does best. The library includes semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide, and related incretins, and the simulator handles weekly dosing and titration schedules so you can see levels build across a dose escalation before you start it.

Beyond the chart: the reconstitution calculator covers compounded and research vials (with a step-by-step walkthrough), inventory tracks both vials and pens (including doses left per pen), weight logging sits next to your dose log so progress and protocol live on one timeline, and reminders keep weekly doses from slipping.

That is deliberate: browser storage is easy to lose, and an account keeps your data encrypted and synced instead of stranded in one browser. The native iOS and Android apps add a fully anonymous guest mode that keeps everything on-device with no account at all.

Premium is $4.99/month, $23.99 for 6 months (~$4.00/mo), $39.99/year (~$3.33/mo, save 33%), or $89.99 once for lifetime access. It unlocks inventory with costing and cycle economics, labs and advanced PK with Compare mode, dose reminders, custom compounds and blends, E2EE cloud sync for everything, the AI assistant, and raises caps to 50 compounds per protocol and 10 saved protocols. Premium includes a 14-day free trial, live in the app today.

Premium+ is $7.99/month, $34.99 for 6 months, or $59.99/year. It adds bring-your-own-key AI (Claude, OpenAI, or Gemini), 3x the AI allowance, and - with the subscription launch - MCP servers and the write API with webhooks.

How does the free trial work?

The 14-day Premium trial is live in the app today. It is offered at the end of the onboarding tour (and from any Premium feature), and it unlocks all Premium features for 14 days.

No card, no auto-charge - paid subscriptions are not live yet, so there is nothing to bill. When the trial ends you keep using the Free tier, and everything you built stays exactly where it was.

When subscriptions launch, trials will run through the App Store / Play Store with standard subscription terms, clearly stated before you start one.

What happens to my data when paid subscriptions launch?

Nothing is deleted - ever. That is a design principle: if you end up over a Free-tier cap (say you built 6 protocols during a trial), everything you created stays readable and editable in place; you just can't add more past the cap without upgrading.

Launch pricing is published on the pricing page today so there are no surprises, and the launch promo takes 50% off your first month on Premium and Premium+.

How accurate are the PK calculations?

The PK charts are theoretical estimates, not clinical measurements. DosePlot uses the Bateman equation (a one-compartment model with first-order absorption) and population-average pharmacokinetic parameters (half-life, Tmax) for each compound, sampled hourly.

Limitations to understand: individual variation in serum levels can be 2-3x or more due to differences in body composition, enzyme activity, injection technique, ester hydrolysis rates, and other factors. Parameters for grey-market compounds are often derived from limited studies or community data - those entries are flagged as research-grade in the app. Oral bioavailability is particularly variable.

For the best accuracy, use personal calibration: record a bloodwork draw while on protocol (you can even tell it how many hours after your last dose the draw was taken), and DosePlot rescales the curve to match your individual response instead of the population average.

Is my data private? Is it encrypted?

Yes. Privacy is a first-class design constraint in DosePlot:

Guest mode (native apps): no account required. All data stays on your device. No cloud.

Encrypted sync: everything you sync - protocols, dose logs, weight, labs, inventory - is end-to-end encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it leaves your device. The server stores ciphertext.

Two encryption modes: by default your encryption key is escrowed to your account (so you can recover your data if you lose a device). If you want more, an opt-in zero-knowledge passphrase mode wraps the key with a passphrase only you know - then not even DosePlot can decrypt your data.

We never sell your health data. Full stop. No health data is shared with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.

AI assistant: a privacy toggle in Settings disconnects the assistant from your app data entirely. When off, no data is sent to the AI model.

Question 11

How does the encryption actually work?

All synced data is encrypted on your device with AES-256-GCM before upload and decrypted after download - the server only ever stores ciphertext. On your device, the key lives in hardware-backed secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore).

By default the data key is wrapped and escrowed to your account. That keeps sync seamless across devices and means losing a phone does not mean losing your data - the tradeoff, stated plainly, is that this escrow is recoverable by the service, which is what makes account recovery possible.

If you want zero-knowledge, opt in to the passphrase mode: your passphrase (run through Argon2id) wraps the key, the recoverable escrow is destroyed, and only someone with the passphrase can ever decrypt, including us. Lose the passphrase and the cloud copy is gone for good; any device that still holds the data locally keeps it.

How does the AI Assistant work?

The in-app AI Assistant is a Premium feature, hosted by DosePlot (built on Anthropic's Claude models), no API key needed. It can read your live protocol, inventory, bloodwork, and rotation data, and it does real data entry through 25 tools: building and adjusting protocols, importing inventory, drafting lab panels from a photo or PDF, and navigating the app for you.

Its design principles: every write is staged into a batch you approve with one tap - nothing changes without your confirmation; a provenance guard flags any dose-critical number the model chose itself; a plausibility layer blocks physically impossible values; it will not prescribe or recommend protocols for you personally; and a privacy toggle disconnects it from your data entirely.

Premium includes a monthly allowance good for dozens of chats or guided tasks (Premium+ triples it, and longer plans add +25-50%). Premium+ also adds bring-your-own-key AI and - coming with the subscription launch - local and cloud MCP servers for connecting external AI clients.

Can I use my own AI key or my own AI tools?

Yes, on Premium+. Bring-your-own-key (BYOK) is live in the app: configure Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint with your own API key and chat through the Assistant tab on your own account - BYOK usage never touches the hosted allowance.

Also on Premium+, arriving with the subscription launch: local and cloud MCP servers (connect external MCP-capable clients like Claude or Cursor to your DosePlot data) and a write API with webhooks for your own automations.

If you just want AI without any setup, the hosted assistant on Premium needs no key at all.

How does cloud sync work?

Cloud sync is opt-in and requires a free account (sign in with Apple, Google, Discord, or email).

A free account syncs your protocols and compound library. Premium syncs everything, dose logs, weight, labs, recon recipes, and inventory. All of it is end-to-end encrypted (AES-256-GCM); see the encryption question above for how the keys work.

Sync is offline-first: changes queue locally and flush when you are online, and edits propagate to your other devices in seconds. Guest mode on the native apps has no sync by design - all data stays on the device, and if you later create an account your guest data merges in losslessly.

What platforms does DosePlot run on?

Available now: the web app at app.doseplot.com - it runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile, no install required. You can install it to your home screen as a PWA, and web push dose reminders already work in the browser.

Coming soon: native iOS (App Store), Android (Play Store), and macOS/Windows desktop apps.

All platforms share the same data via encrypted cloud sync, and protocol share codes work cross-platform.

Can I share a protocol with someone?

Yes. Every protocol can be exported as a compact share code (a URL or text string). The recipient pastes it into their own DosePlot app to load your protocol. Share codes are cross-platform - a code from the web app loads on mobile and vice versa.

Share codes contain only the protocol structure (compounds, doses, frequencies) - they do not include your personal data, logs, or inventory.

The upcoming Professional tier adds an onboarding handoff so coaches can deliver a protocol straight into a client's account.

Are the compounds discussed legal?

The legal status of compounds discussed in DosePlot varies widely by country, state, and intended use. Some compounds are FDA-approved prescription medications (testosterone cypionate, semaglutide, HCG). Others are research chemicals or controlled substances.

DosePlot does not encourage, condone, or facilitate illegal activity. Users are solely responsible for understanding and complying with the laws in their jurisdiction. The app makes no representations about the legal status of any compound in any location.

The AI assistant will provide harm-reduction and planning information about grey-market compounds using community-sourced data, with appropriate source-quality disclosures. This is for educational purposes only.
